I just downloaded and installed Open Office for Mac version 4.0.1, and would like to get a print version User Manual.
Are there any suggestions?
Coming from an old DOS word processing program, Professional Write, I will have some difficulty getting used to this new Open Office program.
I see some manuals offered are for Open Office versions that end in .org. Are these applicable to my 4.0.1?
Thanks for your replies.

Any of the 3.3/3.4 manuals will be helpful relative to OO 4.0/4.1
Much documentation, even if not yet updated to OO4 is linked off

Thanks for your reply. What I was looking for is specific recommendations for a printed user manual that I can study while not at the computer.
Also want to know if manuals for .org versions are applicable to my 4.0.1 version?

Largely the OO.org manuals are applicable; they will not cover new features such as the Sidebar, but they will certainly get you well started. Any manual with a PDF file on the above page can be printed easily. I believe some manuals are available from LuLu.com, but have no definite knowledge of these. If you have an eReader of any sort, you can download for reading the PDFs, or the .ODT files, although these latter may need to be converted using (say) Calibre.

Direct links to the Lulu printed copies and to the PDF files can also be found atWhat I was looking for is specific recommendations for a printed user manual that I can study while not at the computer.

The LibreOffice User Guides tend to be more current than those for AOO, but will of course differ in certain details.
