OpenOffice 4.1
Re: Install only OO Writer.
Best to do a full install as OpenOffice is so integrated. If you only require a text editor of about the same capability, consider AbiWord.

So, i cannot install OpenOffice Writer only. I have to install the full package?
Do you know if there is some kind of command in Debian to do it? Like aptitude install openoffice?
I tried this, but it didn't work!
aptitude install openoffice
aptitude install oowriter

I find it best to use Synaptic to remove libreoffice-core before installing OpenOffice.

You can actually, but why? You still need to install core packages that are the major bulk of the installation. The separate modules of Calc, Impress, Base, Draw are just kinda frontends and they are only of some kilobytes.robgeek wrote:So, i cannot install OpenOffice Writer only.
