Hi all!
i'm building a custom template for my presentations.
It consists in a background image and a few rectangles as background objects.
it's a bit difficult to add text above this rectangle because clicks on the slides causes the selection of the background elements.
is there a way to "lock" this elements to avoid the selection ability? must i create a custom image for the background with all the elements in it?
thanks in advance for any help.
ask me if you need more explanation
bye
Locking a background object in a template
Re: Locking a background object in a template
Anything that should not be selectable in the drawing, you can put in the slide master.
Menu View - Master (You should now see the Background objects tab instead of the three default layer tabs.)
Modify your background.
Menu View - Normal

Glad it helped, and please forgive my confusing remarks about tabs.
I thought I was replying in the Draw forum, but luckily the Impress menu is quite similar in this area.
