Hello Again,
I am attempting to insert a CSV list of names into labels, one name on each label, and am having trouble with this. I think I should be using the mail merge wizard, but can't seem to really figure it out.

I'd read the csv into Calc, then save it as an OOo spreadsheet, .ods.
You can then set that spreadsheet file up within Writer as an 'address data source'. Then use that to merge into the labels.
Luckily, Chapter 11 of the Writer Guide steps you through exactly that for mail merging, with Page 293 onwards dealing with labels.
