[Solved] Queries gone???

Post by Kirsten »

Hi,

I am a newbie with OpenOffice. So my excuse if I ask something stupid. But If looked into so many ways to find the answer (Google is your friend, NORMALLY)

So I have succesfully connect a SQL database to the OpenOffice Base. Yeaahhh! :bravo: I was very happy, ... for 1 day!

On the first day I had made a couple of queries, saved them, and....

Now there gone  ! What did I do wrong?? :knock:

I saved the sql data into a base file. Then I made the queries. So you would think they are saved in the odb file?

Help!

The queries are saved in the odb file (which is just a zip archive) and the odb file is saved to disk. If you save any queries, forms, reports and then close the odb without saving, all the objects are gone.
When using the database (editing table contents) nothing needs to be saved.

May be you have more than one version of that document? Search your disk for all *.odb files. Look at File>Recent Documents>...
