[Solved] Rotate images ?

Post by rda »

Hi there I am creating a few pages with impress that contain images. I would like to rotate these, but cannot find an option to do so.

Can anyone help ?

Also I would like to add a drop shadow to these rotated images, I may be pushing it, but is that possible ?

Thanks

To rotate pictures in Writer or Impress, you've to open Draw, insert the pic then copy and paste it in Writer or Impress. This way, the pic is converted to a graphic.

Once the pic is a graphic, you can rotate it and add a shadow: right click, Area, Shadow tab.

Thanks to add '[Solved]' in your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

i wonder if it would be possible to create a macro to make the Writer to Draw export, Draw edit and Draw to Writer export with just one click.

any kind of rotation could be created and stored as buttons.

Ask in the Macro forum.

nevermind, i found it in the OOo forum.

in this topic you may find "Flip Horizontal", "Flip Vertical", "Rotate 90° Left" and "Rotate 90° Right" macros.

I had an Impress presenation that exported to PDF so that I could split into one page per document using Acrobat and rotate. I found that pasting each page special as a bitmap would not keep the Acrobat rotation nor allow rotation in Writer 3.2, but as GDI metafile retained the rotation.
