I have just moved to Windows 8 (due to demise of previous netbook).
I have decided to try Open Office.
I cant work out how to split windows so that I can see two different documents side by side.
Is this possible and, if so, please would someone explain how to do it - I'd be very grateful.
(I am completely non-teccie so would be grateful for a nursery-style answer).

Re: split windows
As far as I am aware you can only do this by opening two windows, one for each file and adjusting the windows to fit the screen. IIRC this is a frequent request for enhancment.Larch wrote:I have just moved to Windows 8 (due to demise of previous netbook).

Re: split windows
Thank you both for your time and trouble and swiftness. I can see it's not ideal but it's good enough for what I need.
