Automatically open a file

Post by LarryPoynor »

Welcome beginner. Please answer all of the questions below which may provide information necessary to answer your question.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Which version of OpenOffice.org are you using? 2.4
What Operating System (version) are you using? Ubuntu
What is your question or comment? I created a short cut on my desktop to open up the spreadsheet..which it does.

Is there any way to have the OO spreadsheet open up a specific file when it opens?

Thanks for any help. :D

This is one shortcut I use. You may not want the '-norestore' option; that prevents "crash recovery" from operating.

openoffice.org2.4 -norestore /home/data/current/office/test/Test.ods
Apache OpenOffice 4.1.9 on Linux
