Hello forum,
I am trying to figure out how to do this. I want to create one template page that has a unique number at the top (lets say the number starts at 1). I want to be able to hit print- and chose to print 500 pages (or as many as I need). What I need to happen is that on each page it prints a new number in sequential order.
basically I want to create a 8 x 11 giant ticket that has the same unique number printed on two places on the same page- and be able to output as many tickets as I need.
I have thought about using page numbers and copy/paste the same content 500 times to create 500 pages but there must be a better way.
thanks,
puzzled

Did you try a search? This question comes up about once a month.
I don't remember if there are any better solutions, but one (relatively) easy way is to make a data source with your serial numbers and then use Writer's mail merge function to generate the pages. You insert fields on the Writer page to show the serial number.

I don't recollect any better way than that described by acknak.
