Recurring "Loading Document" action

Post by overloading »

From time to time some event triggers "loading document" that temporarily flashes at bottom left of the window where the active tab number and tab count display. The loading progress bar displaces all the usually displayed bottom bar info like, insert, sum and the zoom slider.

There is not apparent some setting under "options". There is not some known action that triggers the loading. Sometimes it happens with fresh launch of openoffice dialog, sometimes it does not. It most certainly seems to eventually occur and can only be stopped by killing office binary from bash terminal and relaunching the needed ooo application UNTIL they "loading document" does not persist.

If you are certain that you are seeing a "loading document" action then you have a faulty installation. Have you installed Apache OpenOffice 3.4.1 from www.openoffice.org/download, after removing the distro version of OpenOffice (is that aliased to LibreOffice?)?

If it is a saving document action you might look at the settings under /Tools /Options /Load-save : General. Perhaps the autosave settings are set abnormally low.
