.odt corrupted. Need help seeing if its recoverable.

My sis was using my laptop writing a 10 page research paper. She repeatedly saved and the laptop ran out of battery and crashed. The saved file was somehow corrupted, not exactly sure how, it had autorecovery turned on, but the backup file feature was not at the time. No backups were made. Can't find any tmp files (Im using linux mint) and I need to know if the data is recoverable. Thanks for your help.
Here is a chunk from the file, its 7 pages of the stupid pound signs, plus the little bit at the end. no spaces or gaps

Sadly, quite nothing to do, see: 22 pages term paper replaced with pound signs.

Check also the temporary folder of the system (see in OOo Tools>Options>OOo>Paths). If there are folders like sgmlf.tmp with a file having the same name inside, make a copy of that file, rename it in .odt and cross your fingers.

NB: it seems that 3.3 is much less impacted.
