[Solved] Hide cell contents in Calc Spreadsheets

Post by MSwhip »

Is it somehow possible to hide cells contents keeping contained functions -or formulas- without hiding rows and/or columns?

Cant find help on this in the OpenOffice Calc manual.

Does anyone have a good answer?

If it is possible what is the way to toggle the hide and view of those contents?

Thank you.

How would that work? I mean how would you hide one cell without hiding the whole row and/or column?

You can use tricks like changing the text color to match the background, or applying a custom number format like "" (hides all numbers) to make the cell appear empty.

Or, you can put those cells on a different sheet and hide that sheet.

That's about all I can think of ...

Back from a long trip now.
Thank you acknak for the viable suggestions, they are good enough to solve my issue.
