[Issue] Impress convert to PDF errors

Post by wraithman86 »

Hi all, I've run into a problem making some PDF's for training purposes. Ideally we want to convert Impress slide shows to (with notes attached) to PDF. When I use the create PDF feature it seems to double up. In Adobe reader I have the entire slide show without notes, then at the end of that another copy of the slide show with slides. Anyone have any idea how I can fix it? Thanks

Look under File > Print > Options

You can choose which "views" (slide, handout, notes) you want to print.

Oops, sorry. Trying to do too many things at once here.

I don't see any way around it.

The only workaround I can think of is to use "Print to file" with only the "notes" pages included, then convert the Postscript into your PDF. You can use a utility program to do the conversion, or install a "PDF printer".

This fits your description: Issue 58593: Impress pdf export with notes creates also "normal", but looks to me to be superseded by this one: Issue 17387: PDF-export should support handouts, notes, etc (impress - WYSIWYG export to PDF)

You can register there and add your votes (up to two) or a comment. Vote for 17387 if you're convinced it would also fix your issue: it has more votes so it's more likely to get some attention.
