[Solved] Impress Slide Layouts

Post by Randy_Underwood »

I am fairly new to OOo and am trying to figure out how to make a new slide layout - a template that appears in the layouts box and can be applied to any presentation - I would like the layout to contain two text frames (stacked top to bottom on the left) and an object frame (or a table frame) on the right. There's a couple of layouts that are close to what I want but not exact - so how do I make one and get it in the list ?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

EDIT: Sorry for the dumb question and thanks for the answer.

So how would I propose to the developers to add a new layout or the ability to add layouts ?

Sorry, as far as I know, it's not possible for the user to create new layouts, or even to modify the standard ones.

From the Impress Guide:
You cannot create new AutoLayouts. However, if none of these layouts suit your requirements,
you can rearrange elements on an individual slide and duplicate that slide as often as needed,
copy it from one presentation to another, or save it in a template.
