[Solved] Pointing to LibreOffice?

Post by Villeroy »

Referring to http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/ ... 49&t=49889 about not existing Swedish versions of OOo, would a link to http://sv.libreoffice.org/ladda-ner-libreoffice/ considered as inappropriate?

As we support all versions based on OOo code, I don't see why not.

I'd say no to that question from Villeroy...

I.e. it would not be inappropriate.

Let us not get mixed up in double negatives!

I think it is perfectly in order to point a user to any program based on OpenOffice codebase, particularly if there is no AOO or OOo version which answers his requirements.

I agree that linking to a LibreOffice download is fine, but in this case it may not be necessary as there is a Swedish version of 3.3.0.

I would say it is in order to point them towards any program at all that meets a users requirements. If a commercial product is out there, it is up to the user to weigh the pros and cons.

In fact, we encourage people to use MS Office when we think they're better off that way.

He is looking for a version of OpenOffice. There is a Swedish version. He has NOT asked about LibreOffice.
