[Solved] Keep together--whole group?

Post by qwertyjjj »

I selected the keep together whole group for the Month grouping but it keeps putting the data onto the next page.
Any ideas how I can make sure it puts a page break in if the customer goes over 1 page?
I do not want each month on a separate page if possible.

Keep together property has a bug, which is not fixed, no workaround.

Hello qwertyjjj,

Good to see your report is working.

DID YOU FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS?
I said.
Hit list box arrow to right of 'Group On'. You are presented with a list of options. Select 'Month'.
The field name is still 'Date' but the grouping is based on Month('Date'). The appearance of 'Date' is down to formatting.
If the answer is YES then:-
1. Open the Sorting & Grouping window.
2. Select 'Customer'
3. Keep Together = 'With First Detail'.

4. Select (what should be 'Date') but in you case is probably 'RealDate'. This must be grouped on 'Month'.
5. Keep Together = 'Whole Group'

This works fine.
