Downloading the OpenOffice.org package

I am not able to download the open office programme
Can any one help me fix the problem?

Can you give us a little more information? What did you try? What exactly didn't work?

I am having the same problem. I go to the home page of OOo, click on download Open Office, click again to download it, and it starts to download, but then after a few seconds I am directed to a page that says:

Oops! Internet Explorer could not connect to download.services.openoffice.org
Suggestions:
•Go to openoffice.­org
•Try reloading: download.­services.­openoffice.­org/­files/­stable/­3.­3.­0/­OOo_3.­3.­0_Win_x86_instal­l-­wJRE_en-­US.­exe
•Search on Google:

and all of these options just take me back to the same page, as above.

I understand OOo is under some sort of reorganization now. Could this be causing the problem, and will things eventually get fixed? If so, when?

Try hand picking a mirror site near to you from the mirror list

double click on the ftp or http link on the site line.
