WK4 file conversion

Post by dbrooks942 »

I recently purchased a new computer but could not open any of my old Lotus 123 files. To "solve" this problem, I downloaded OpenOffice. However, while I am now able to open older 123 files in .wk1 format, I am still unable to open the files in .wk4 format. What do I need to do to be able to open my .wk4 files?

I think the best result is to save in XLS with Lotus 123.
Also I believe to remember that the first version of Symphony (OOo from IBM), can open, but I don't know where get it now.

Hagar, That's how I found OpenOffice to begin with....I had googled 'how to open wk4 files and found a post saying that if I downloaded OpenOffice, I could open them with that program.
Now I don't know what to do because my old computer is so old and slow (purchased in 2003), it would take FOREVER to open them as wk4 files, copy them into xls format and then transfer them to my new computer. I was hoping to find SOME way to open those wk4 files on my new computer.....any ideas?
