[Solved] Thanks

Post by JohnCK »

Guys,

To whoever...

I updated to Win 7 and found out the immoral, crude crash with the older Office 2000 Word or whatever it was.

This was incomprehensible that a company making both the MS Office suite and the operating system would not support their previous versions. This is theft. Legal in the fine print, but immoral and theft. Easy fix was to fork out the money to Microsoft and Word would work again. I respect the good that MS has brought to the world, but the low life greed motive engineered into this approach is abominable.

I searched the internet and found numerous posts, also as enraged or at least disillusioned by the extortion tactics.

Consistent advice was to go with Open Office.

Word now works, the other components work.

This is great...Thank you...
