Open Office Service windows is down
Re: Open Office Service windows is down
Hi and welcome to the community!
To be honest, I don't quite understand what you are doing and what your goal is.
How did you install OpenOffice as a windows service? I would not know how that works. By which interface do you control it then?
And why do you use OpenOffice to generate PDFs from an external program - I simply don't understand that (I admit I don't know freemaker).
Maybe you can give us some more details (also your exact operating system and OpenOffice version number).
KR, phil

Re: Open Office Service windows is down
Thanks for your response.
I will try to explain. I use oppen office 2.2 on a windows server 2003 R2.
I install Open office as windows services as you can see on the tutorial.

I use freemaker to replace marker in an .odt document. Then open office transform the document .odt to a pdf file (I think with uno).
My problem is that some times the process (associated to the windows services) shutdown and that i don't have any information in order to know why it shutdown.

Re: Open Office Service windows is down
OK, now I understand quite a bit better what you are trying to do.
The possibility is very interesting, wasn't aware of that.
I'm afraid I don't have any experience with that, and I fear most of the active people here won't be able to help you with this quite specific problem either.
You could download the current version of OOo from the official site and try with this one?
Or could you maybe ask the eTouch people about it?
Good luck!
