How do I download new fonts to OpenOffice.org 3.3?

Post by jaredtom »

I know where to get the fonts, but I don't know where to save them so openoffice will recognize them. I only need a couple of new fonts and they are microsoft fonts. If anyone can let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. :D

If you're using Windows, you should just be able to copy them to the "Fonts" directory in Control Panel. Just select the *.ttf/*.otf files, Copy, and do CTRL+v in Fonts.

OpenOffice.org should be able to detect any fonts that are installed in Windows.

You may also need to restart OpenOffice so it can find the fonts. Best way is to Power off your computer and start it up from scratch.

Hi,

if you wanted to ask: Where you can download they from? (i.e.: new, freeware, or other fonts)

...for example:
http://www.linuxlibertine.org/index.php?id=91&L=1
Tibor Kovacs, Hungary; LO7.5.8 /Win7-10 x64Prof.
PortableApps/winPenPack: LO3.3.0-7.6.2;AOO4.1.14
Please, edit the initial post in the topic: add the word [Solved] at the beginning of the subject line - if your problem has been solved.
