An enterprise-ready build of the open source Libreoffice office application suite will be available within two months, according to The Document Foundation (TDF).
Co-founder and steering committee member Italo Vignoli told V3.co.uk that the final bugs were being ironed out of the current software with version 3.4.1, which will be released in a month's time. Version 3.4.2 will come a month later and will be ready for commercial deployment.

Software quality is a somewhat fuzzy area, and one that is perceived
very individually, usually. The bugs you list are no regressions
from the previous 3.4 version, so by definition, since 3.4.2 fixes
many other bugs, it's better than 3.4.1, which in turn was better
than 3.4.0.
Generally, assessing whether a specific version will be suitable for
your company, or home use, is an individual decision - now,
yesterday, and back in the day with OpenOffice.org. You'll always
end up deciding if you need this nice new features, or whether the
new mail merge wizard is broken so fundamentally that you can't use
the version.
Of course, for companies deploying LibO, we recommend getting
professional support, that allows you to get *your* bugs fixed
in time. You've quite a choice there, another advantage of having a
more diverse ecosystem.

What he doesn't say is that the TDF recommendation for enterprises was to use 3.3. And the regression has been introduced in 3.4 AFAIK!Thorsten Behrens wrote:Software quality is a somewhat fuzzy area, and one that is perceived very individually, usually. Edit: Found that one for example: Bug 37195 - Dictionary access lost after LibO upgrade that seems to be a regression in 3.4.2. rather irritating for a basic feature for many users... |

There is a reason LO is available in 3.3.x and 3.4.x versions which are continuing to be developed and the above is the reason. My smile is for the reference to professional support - that likely includes the LO from Novel for over US$100 a year. I do not know of the Novel version is 3.3.x. or 3.4.x.
