[Solved] Keyboard Shortcut to Insert Formula?

Post by CapriciousReboot »

Hello!

Is there a way for me to insert a formula into Open Office Writer using only my keyboard? A keyboard shortcut that does the same thing as Insert -> Object -> Formula and that is not pressing alt, then arrowing over?

Tools>Customize...>Keyboard under Functions Category select "Insert" and under Functions Function select Formula. Select a shortcut key combination, then click the Modify button.

In addition to Robert indications, remember that there are two entries labelled as "Formula" (issue 40747): on my install, the one related to Math is the first one.

For a centered formula that is numbered on the right you can use the AutoText entry FN. Type these keys without the quotes, "fnF3".

To change the default formula click it and press Enter.
