I have upgraded from 3.2.1 to 3.3.0 on Windows 7 and I have upgraded the sdbc extension to connect a Postgresql database server. In the extension list dialog box, this extension is not activated. When I try to activate it, this results in error.
Can someone help me?

Re: PosgreSQL sdbc error during installation
I installed it without problem, try to remove, restart OOo, reinstall it.
Use other driver (ODBC or JDBC) to postresql connection, the sdbc driver provides read only tables, which is know bug.

Re: PosgreSQL sdbc error during installation
Thank you, r4zoli.
It is not a viable solution to me to just have read-only tables. I have used sdbc on older version such as 3.2.1. I use this connection interface thinking that the communication is more native than JDBC or ODBC and fastest. Maybe I am wrong.
I have tried JDBC and have trouble with the existing forms/subforms links. Is it necessary to recreate my forms?
I will try to recreate one set this week. I will report my results.

The sdbc is a fastest connection, jdbc slower.sylcote26 wrote: It is not a viable solution to me to just have read-only tables. I have used sdbc on older version such as 3.2.1. I think the forms must work in same way in all connections.sylcote26 wrote:I have tried JDBC and have trouble with the existing forms/subforms links. Is it necessary to recreate my forms?

Re: PosgreSQL sdbc error during installation
I have found why I was not able to work with subform when using JDBC. Just check the setting "Replace named params with '?' " in Edit/Database/Advanced Settings...
Effectively, the communication is more slower than SDBC that I have experimented in OO 3.2.1. Just hope that SDBC will be corrected soon for OO 3.3.
