[Solved] XP: OOo crash with ORB

Post by peterdines »

Oracle Report Builder crashes OOo on XP SP3 when I try to open the conditional print expression builder.

I think it's a Java related problem because it works on OS X 10.6.6. There are some differences between the capabilities of the Oracle and Apple Java runtimes. For instance, Apple Java doesn't allow me to print images in reports.

Anyone else have this problem? It's annoying... I have to bounce back and forth between Mac and XP running in Virtualbox to get everything done.... :knock:

Which version of ORB you use with OOo 3.3 on winXP, it needs 1.2.1-rev2.
Which Java version?
AOO 4.0 and LibO 4 on Win 8

AHA!

r4zoli I could kiss you. I actually had Sun report builder (some darn old version) installed on Windows even though I was up to date on Mac. I updated Windows extensions and the crash problem is gone. Thanks!
