Downloading OpenOffice.org
Downloading OpenOffice.org
I already have OpenOffice on one of my computers. I want to download and install OpenOffice on a new computer. When I try to download the program files from OpenOffice.org, Internet explorer blocks it from happening with a warning that it may have material that is considered adware or spyware. I am attempting to do this diredtly from the OpenOffice.org website. Is it okay to override this and download the files.

Hi and welcome to the forum!
Yes, it's safe. If you want to be absolutely sure, check the MD5sum (see the download page for more information).

Re: Downloading OpenOffice.org
When IE asks if you want to download the file click on the white bar and top of your window and click on Download File. If your downloading directly from http://www.openoffice.org the file is completely safe.
