[Solved] How to create a project timeline?

Post by ricks99 »

I found this MS-Excel template to create a project timeline from a spreadsheet:
http://www.vertex42.com/ExcelArticles/c ... eline.html

It seems to work well, except when I try to "Add the timeline event labels" to the chart

In the instructions, step three says:

3. Press the = key, or click inside of the Formula Bar.

But nothing happens when I press = and I see no way to access the formula toolbar.

Tx,

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Don't forget to search the forum first, this has been discussed already: [Solved] Creating a Timeline with Scatter and data labels.

Please add '[Solved]' at beginning of your first post title (edit button) if your issue has been fixed.

Thanks. Please note that when I search for:

How to create a project timeline?

I only get this thread, not the link you indicated.

Of course, you need to use keywords, not a regular question. Just timeline works quite fine.

Sorry, but "of course" in the Age of Google I expect that any useful search engine should be able to accept a natural language question. Maybe you could pass this feedback to whomever runs/designs this site.

In any case, I simply wanted to let you know that I did attempt to search the forum before asking my question.

Forum search engines are not that advanced. In all the forums I've seen, they are based on the search for keywords.
As we use a standard pHp layout, it's a rather global behavior...
