[Solved] Can I import my MS Office files?

Hi

I have all my old files in MS office 2003

From Exell and word Etc

Is it possible to import them?

And if so how?

You can open them, be prepared for some conversion problems though.
OpenOffice 4.1.11 on Ubuntu; LibreOffice 6.4 on Linux Mint, LibreOffice 7.6.2.1 on Ubuntu

Just open them from within OOo or you can associate the MS files with OOo when you install the program. There also is some kind of document converter as well See File > Wizards > Document Converter but I've never tried it.

OOo does a very good but not perfect job of translating to and from MS formats but as floris says, you may run into some problems. I usually convert fairly simple Word and Excel files and have few problems but they may occur.
