[Solved, kinda] Automatic update in 3.1 not working

I just heard that 3.2 is available and so opened up OOo (3.1) and did help->check for updates, but it says that it's up to date. How can I get it to recognize that it isn't actually up to date and give me the update option?

The update feature is poor at best. Its easier to download directly from http://download.openoffice.org/index.html.

They really need to fix that - I'd noticed it being flaky in the past.
