can't save my document

can't save my document. each time i try a "not responding message" appear, telling me that my doc need to be recovered. i have vista and oo2.3.
what i did, i paste a existing doc to a new folder to work on it but i'am not able to save.
can someone help me?

Can you do a "Save As..." in another folder?

Try renaming your user settings folder after closing all OO processes including the quick starter. The Windows path to the settings folder is
c:\documents and settings\username\Application Data\ OpenOffice.org2
Under Win 98 - C:\Windows\Application Data\OpenOffice.org2

If that does not fix the problem, try reinstalling with the 'repair' option selected.
