upgrading to 2.3

Just an admonishment to applyling upgraded pkg. ...It corrupted my existing database and I'll have to redo the whole thing...

My databases keep on working. Nice to have backups anyway. Just in case I can not repair a database for some weird reasons.

What OS? Have you tried to downgrade to check your file? If you've not saved the damaged file, you should be able to access it with the former version.
LibreOffice 25.2 on Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE 7 Gigi) and 24.8 portable on Windows 11.

What database, specifically? I've been using OOo for a while on Windows, have done several upgrades, and never had any problem. I've also not seen anyone else posting similar problems (there would be an uproar if this were a regular occurrence!) so perhaps something hiccuped during your installation, or the installer was corrupted during download, or something else affected whatever database seems to have been hit.

Please have a look at the Survival Guide for tips on what information needs to go into a post.

And I hope we can help fix or resolve your problem. I can sympathize; I'd be upset about it too!
