[Solved] Bold not saving

In what format are you saving the file? If, for example, you save it in .cvs format, only your data will be saved, not any effects you have applied; such as bold.

You are correct I am saving it in csv file. Doesn't that save changes. oh dear!

Saved in ODs format thank you so much I hope this is the right format it seemed to work.

As I mentioned, the CSV format only saves the values in your file, not formatting or formulae.

Always save your Calc files in the native .ods format.

Also, consider using styles to apply formatting to your document - see section 2 of [Tutorial] Ten concepts that every Calc user should know; there is a link there to documentation on the use of styles.
