Getting creative with = RANDBETWEEN

Postby Brevardo » Sat Jul 20, 2019 1:45 pm

I have the formula = Randbetween (0,30) in a cell. However. The only way i can get it to generate a new result is by copying the formula and pasting it to another cell. Is there a better way to keep the formula in the original cell and find another way to execute it so i can get a different result while staying in the same cell? Ideally, i would like to create some kind of virtual button to the spreadsheet in which everytime i select it, it will run the =RANDBETWEEN formula and generate a nee number/ result. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks

The key combination CTRL + Shift + F9 causes a Hard Recalculate which will give you a new number.
