[Solved] Persistent Column Headings

Post by immarci2 »

I was wondering if persistent column headings can be created. Where you scroll down the sheet yet the column headings stay on top. This is doable in excel and is very useful when entering information in sheets with many columns and rows.

Welcome to the Forums.
This is doable in Calc.
Enter your column headings, then place the cursor on the row below your column headings, then under the Window menu, select Freeze
If the cursor isn't in column A when you do this, then the columns to the left of the cursor will also freeze.

Put the cursor in cell A2 and select the menu Window -> Freeze. That will keep the first row visible as you scroll down.
