[Solved] It always opens the Text Import

So I exported a document from an application to .csv format - every effing time I click on it to open it in OO calc, it goes to the text import dialog. How do I set the file permanently so I don't have to deal with this dialog each and every time I open it?

Of course it does - it is a text file, and OO needs to know certain information. If you don't want to supply that, Save the file as an .odt .ods file, using /File /Save As, selecting .odt in the file type dropdown.

OMG - Something so simple but soooo obscure - thanks for that, my bad for not catching that - CSV (C)omma (S)eparated (V)alues would indeed be a text file, DUH!
One note, my drop down did not offer .odt, but it did offer .ods, which produced the desired result anyway, I suspect due to the geriatrics of my version - I have the Jurassic Classic version lol...

I'm pretty sure that RoryOF meant to type .ods - the format for saving spreadsheets - rather than .odt which is the format in which Writer documents are saved.
