Mailing Labels

Post by glp103 »

I have a spreadsheet originally created with Microsoft Excel with several columns including Name , Address , City, Zip and others. Is there a way to make mailing labels from the addreses? I have no other data program with this information.

Try File > New > Labels and see how it goes. Don't give up if you get stuck--it takes some effort to get it to work. If you run into a problem, just ask.

You may also want to read the "Mail Merge" Chapter of the Writer Guide.

Before you do as acknak suggests you must register your Excel file as a data source. Do File > New > Database, bullet Connect to Existing Database, select Spreadsheet from the drop down menu and complete the wizard.

So sorry, I thought the "Labels wizard" would take care of that step. Thanks, JV.
