[Solved] HYPERLINK background or cell fill color

thanks in advance - I know how to change color of hyperlink text 0 visited and unvisited sites... but how do I get rid of grey fill color that appears to be automatic....? I could not find it in openoffice>preference>oo drop sown > appearance customize box selections.

Try unchecking /View /Field Shading - I haven't checked if that is appropriate for your problem or not, but it is the first thing that comes to mind.
