[Solved] AutoFill and custom sort list
[Solved] AutoFill and custom sort list
It took me forever just to figure out how to define a custom sort list (Letter Grades: A+ A A- B+ etc. With 0 and X at the end). Fine and good. But then I discovered that if I entered an 'x' in the top cell of a column and tried to 'fill down' with identical values by dragging, my new custom sort list is what got filled in. Is there any way to disable a sort list such that it only 'fills down' when explicitly invoked?

Re: AutoFill and custom sort list
If you hold down the CTRL key while dragging, the fill will repeat the value you entered.

Oh Man! Could it really be that easy? <slapsForeheadWithPalm/> Yes. It really is! How do you find out obvious stuff like that?FJCC wrote:If you hold down the CTRL key while dragging, the fill will repeat the value you entered.

Re: [Solved] AutoFill and custom sort list
I found it in the Help under sort lists;applying.
"Hold down Ctrl if you do not want to fill the cells with different values."
"Hold down Ctrl if you do not want to fill the cells with different values."
