[Solved] Stacked Bar Heights Error!

Post by jkwanpg »

Hello, I have created a stacked bar chart successfully but the totals ( heights of the bars ) are more than the actual totals! What can be done to correct the problem?

Please upload your ODF type sample file here.

Here is a screen shot.

For data '18, the actual total is 4,854,034 but the chart shows 5,000,000. For data '38, the actual total is 2,302,007 but the charts shows 2,500,000.

On a personal note, I visited Budapest last summer. What a beautiful Parliament Building I saw!

Sorry. Having trouble uploading the screen shot. File too big, a message says.

The file size limit is 128 KiB in this forrum. Use256 color depth .PNG fileformat. Conver, and optimize your screenshots before you upload them here. Use the free IrfanView software for this task.

Othervise we will get not too much information based on screenshot. Please prepare a real, ODF type document (delete or modify the sensitive data), delete the irrelevant parts (to decrease the file size) and then upload it here.

Off:
There was (in the socializm era) a story about our Parliament Building. The building was appeared on a paper box of a "made in Hungary" shoe, as "logo" of Budapest. Someone - maybe in the USA - commented it:
"What a beautiful shoe factory!"

The data of the column "K" in your sample document contains constant numbers (but they are not SUM() formulas), and the values in the culumn "K" not equal with the actual SUM() value of the cells in columns "B-G".
Maybe this fact causes the difference.

The data in the Column "K" maybe are previous results, of the SUM() formulas, and they became as constants - somehow (accidentally).

Column K reflects sum columns B-F, G not included.

Thanks, Tibor.

You are correct. I changed the sum() columns and forgot to account for the change in the total column.
