If the version listed in your signature is correct, I think you will have to update. If I remember correctly, version 3.4 did nto have sumifs() or countifs().
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint

The LibreOffice Calc has a higher compatibility with the functions of the Excel and Google Sheet.
Install the latest Still version of the LibreOffice. It is the LO 6.1.5 version today.

Please, edit the initial post in the topic: add the word [Solved] at the beginning of the subject line - if your problem has been solved.

(Spoken aside)
I would prefer to dissuade from google sheets (as also from MS Office 365). It might be the next software (besides Excel) for which incompatibility is the "raison d'être" and will be reinforced as soon as weakened by competitors in their struggle for compatibility. The big players are trying to get everything into their clouds where nobody but themselves can see what happens.
On Windows 10: LibreOffice 24.2 (new numbering) and older versions, PortableOpenOffice 4.1.7 and older, StarOffice 5.2
