[Solved] Interactive quiz scoreboard

Post by wayrus »

Hi I have created a quiz scoreboard for 20 teams that updates automatically after each of the 10 rounds of questions after I enter the points scored. I can get it to rank the scores from the highest to the lowest in each round BUT I cant work out how to get the appropriate team name to appear automatically next to the ranked score. Can anyone help please Many thanks

Without knowing how your spreadsheet is designed, it isn't possible to answer your question. Please upload a sample of your document.

Many thanks for the quick response. Its not so much I am having a problem more I need someone to tell me what to do. I just want the team name to appear next to the rank column so that it is adjacent to the relevant score after each round. This is a link to the scoreboard as it stands. I apologise for my lack of knowledge and would appreciate any help you can give even if its just the code to put in the team name column.

1. Delete the green columns
2. Add a TOTAL column to the right.
3. Highlight B3 .. M22
4. Data > Sort > Column M > Descending
5. Repeat Steps 3 and 4 after each round. Or record a macro to do it and place the macro on the Toolbar - it's then just one click. See the tutorial on How to record a macro. See what Data > Define Range ..., does.
