[Solved] OpenOffice Calc breaks formula on sheet copy

Postby Loki'sCat » Sat Mar 09, 2019 9:37 pm

I spent some time making a template sheet for a monthly budget document. however when i copy the sheet, the formula breaks.

for example..

=DATE(variables.C$2;D$2;1)

changes to

=DATE(#REF!.C$2;D$2;1)

Every formula i wrote which references this second sheet (of which there are a great number) breaks whenever i copy the sheet.

Is there a way to duplicate the formula exactly or do i need to rewrite all twelve sheets indevidually?

Calc knows absolute and relative sheet references. =DATE($variables.C$2;D$2;1) should copy OK.

huh! I'm so used to Excel it didnt even occur to me that sheet references would need an absolute.
Thanks.
