Hyperlinks when printed to pdf file

Postby RogerGaunt » Tue Dec 18, 2007 3:08 pm

I am trying to create a pdf document with hyperlinks to spreadsheets, and other documents.
When I insert the hyperlink, and then convert my calc document to a pdf, the hyperlinks go across ok, but when they are clicked on, they insist on opening my internet browser to display the pdf I'm linking to instead of going to the default pdf reader.
If the first pdf links to a spreadsheet, it goes through the browser to say its opening the spreadsheet, and leaves a stray tab open in the browser for each link opened.
Does the hyperlink have to go through the browser? When I previously did this exercise by editing the first pdf (in Adobe) to insert the links there, they opened the document direct. However, now the project is so big I need to make the links as I go, rather than all at the end.

This is a known problem. Three issues relate to this:You will need to live with limitation until it fixed. Sorry
Ubuntu 11.04-x64 + LibreOffice 3 and MS free except the boss's Notebook which runs XP + OOo 3.3.
