Is there a way to make the "Grab Handle" bigger w/out a lot of coding?
I guess I'm a klutz, but I use it all the time and love the way it works.

I think it: there is not any way (in the settings)
Do not panic: the Grab Handle size of the Libreoffice Calc seems more smaller. (Click on the pictures...)
Or maybe the position of the small black squares are different???

(A useless answer just emphasizing an advantage of AOO.)
As opposed to recent LibreOffice AOO offers a setting under Options > OpenOffice > View > User Interface > Scaling where you can set factors up to 130%.
Alas! This influences everything but the size of the fill handle.
