[Solved] Spreadsheet Error Message

Post by PoppyS »

I'm trying to update a spreadsheet that I've been using for some time. All I want to do is insert rows (which I've done many times before), but now it comes up with a message "Filled cells cannot be shifted beyond the sheet". I don't know what this means.
Please can some kind person tell me in simple steps how to fix this, as I'm not very technically minded? Many thanks!

You have probably inadvertently entered something in the last row so that when you try to insert a row there is no room for that information to be shifted down. Press the key combination CTRL END (both keys pressed at once) to go to the last used row and last used column. You should find that you are in the last row of the spreadsheet. If there is nothing in that cell, press CTRL LEFT_ARROW to move to the first occupied cell in that row. Delete or move whatever is there.
