Copy Formula

Post by oogerm »

I got this problem:

My file has got two sheets, in A1 of "Sheet2" is a link(?) to A1 of "Sheet1":
=$Sheet1.A1

Now I take a new file (containig a sheet „Sheet1“).
Dragging the „Sheet2" of the first file to the new document the link changes to:
='file:///Users/jerry/Desktop/document.xls'#$Sheet1.A1

How can I copy my sheet to a new document without changing the formula.

Thanks
NeoOffice 2.2.3 with MacOS 10.4

Normal copy & paste should do what you want. What software are you using?
OpenOffice 4.1 on Windows 10 and Linux Mint

If you use copy & paste (not sure what the shortcuts are for a Mac), rather than dragging the formula, you should get what you are asking for.
OpenOffice 4.1.7, LibreOffice 7.0.1.2 on Windows 7 Pro, Ultimate & Windows 10 Home (2004)

You can copy & paste with Ctrl+A, Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V. Through this all data copied to new sheet.
