[Solved] Link to External data

Post by jim409 »

I am trying to add data from a website every hour. I want to add the data at the bottom of the column, but I end up over writing previous data. I have tried a few Macros to no avail.

I am trying to add data from a website every hour.
The "External link" function will work with same selected cell range. It always will rewrite the existing data.

If you want to collect the data into a "mini database", then you must use your own macro, and you need some listener what will able to launch your macro when a new data is arrived, and the macro will able to add the newest data to the data list in a helper cell range. You can enumerate the count of the the existing data, and you can put the new data into the first empty row by the macro.
