Hello,
I am new to spreadsheets and trying to catch up.
I have a row titled Payment Period in A1, and I would like to populate B1 through IH with the numbers 001 to 240. In other words I want to label 240 columns starting at 001.
I have data in other cells that correlates to the Payment Periods, and the first row currently is labeled with dates (in the form of Month,Year) that I want to replace with simple integer numbers.
Is there some automated method to populate the cells in a row with a sequence of numbers?
Thank you.

Re: Creating a row of numbers?
Hi, and welcome to the forum.
After placing 001 in B1, click the cell. Drag the small black square at the lower right to the right until you reach cell IH1. If you go too far, just delete the unneeded numbers. If you stop short, say IG1, click that cell and drag again. You could also use Edit → Fill → Series.

I will assume you know how to prevent Calc from changing 001 to 1 when you enter it. If not, that is a separate question; open a new topic. Reading the tutorial may help you understand why that happens.Roseanne Columns wrote:I would like to populate B1 through IH with the numbers 001 to 240.

Thank you!
I used Edit → Fill → Series and it worked just as I had hoped.
