Hyperlink Formula Working Error from Excel to Calc

Post by mythilyalini »

In Excel
=hyperlink("a/a.xls","abc")
=hyperlink("../../a/a.xls","abc")
These Functions work Proper in Excel

After Conversion to Calc
=hyperlink("a/a.xls";"abc")
=hyperlink("../../a/a.xls";"abc")

These functions not work in Calc.

Kindly do needful.

1. No multi-posting (I'll delete your other thread) please.
2. No bump every 20 min (I've removed it) but perhaps it was a mistake, clicking wrongly on the quote button.
3. Can you add some precisions about the 'partial' link feature ? What do you mean by 'partial' ? relative ?

I know that for 'normal' hyperlinks (those that are not in formulas), the link seems to be absolute because they include the whole path but they are relative in fact (I know, nothing can tell you that looking at the link). Perhaps it's the same for the hyperlink function. Try to put the whole path and make some tries moving the folder to check if OOo retrieves the data correctly.

NB: please no PM to 'bump' a topic. And beware, if you edit your post instead of replying the thread to give more information, the thread won't be tagged as updated (jumps up the threads list in the index) and nobody (subscribed to the thread) will get any notice (mail notification).
