[Solved] Edit Fill Series

Post by ocgirl »

Can I use edit fill Weekday to enter the days of the week. i.e. Monday, Tuesday, etc. I have entered the text Friday & want to fill in the days that follow it automatically. If I can't use fill with this text, is there another way?

G'day, and welcome to the community forum.

There are at least two ways to do this.

1) Enter Friday in the cell where you want the list to start, then grab the black handle (square) at the bottom right of the cell and drag it down - or across - until you have as many cells filled as you need; or

2) Select the range of cells you want to fill, then Edit | Fill | Series, select Autofill as the series type and enter Friday as the start value

Thank you for Method 1. I had tried Method 2 & kept getting invalid value, but I have it now. Thanks again
